Privacy Policy
How Image2Layer handles accounts, uploads, generated layers, credits, payments, cookies, and deletion requests.
Last updated: 2026-09-08
1. Introduction
Image2Layer ("we", "our", or "us") provides AI-assisted image layer separation, Text to PSD generation, and browser-based PSD export/conversion tools at image2layer.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this policy.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your uploads or generated results to train our own AI models, and we do not allow service providers to use your content for their independent advertising or unrelated model training.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Account information
When you create or use an account, we may collect your email address, display name, authentication details, account status, language preference, and security-related records. Passwords, when used, are stored as salted hashes rather than plain text.
If you choose a third-party sign-in option, we receive the basic account information needed to sign you in. We do not receive your password for that third-party account.
2.2 Images, prompts, and generated results
When you use Image to Layers, PNG to PSD, JPG to PSD, or similar layer-generation tools, we process the image you upload, the options you choose, and any notes or target-layer descriptions you provide.
When you use Text to PSD, we process your text prompt, generation settings, and the image or layers created from that prompt.
Generated results may include previews, transparent layer images, ZIP archives, PSD-ready layer metadata, downloadable files, task status, and error messages.
2.3 Credits, billing, and product activity
We keep records of credit grants, credit usage, subscription status, purchases, invoices, refunds or reversals, and support requests so the Service can operate correctly.
Payment card details are handled by payment processors. We receive transaction references, purchase status, plan information, and limited billing metadata; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
2.4 Device and usage information
We may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, feature usage, referrer, approximate region, logs, and timestamps. We use this information for security, abuse prevention, analytics, debugging, and product improvement.
3. How we use your information
We use information to:
- Provide image layer separation, Text to PSD, PSD export, PSD to JPG, PSD to PNG, and related workflows.
- Store and show your task history, previews, downloads, credits, and subscription state.
- Process payments and maintain billing records.
- Send transactional emails, verification messages, security notices, and support replies.
- Detect abuse, fraud, scraping, account sharing, and attempts to bypass credit or security limits.
- Maintain, debug, measure, and improve the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. How image processing works
For AI layer generation, your uploaded image, prompt, selected settings, and generated files may be processed by our own systems and by specialized third-party infrastructure or AI processing providers acting on our behalf. These providers receive the data needed to complete the job and return the result to us.
We describe these providers by category rather than publishing the exact model or vendor names. Provider choices may change as the product improves, and the model routing behind a generation is not part of the public product surface.
Two workflows are designed to stay on your device:
- PSD export. Your browser assembles the downloadable PSD from the generated layer files and metadata.
- PSD to JPG / PSD to PNG. The PSD file you select for these converters is read and rendered in your browser. The server is contacted for sign-in and credit accounting, but the PSD file itself is not uploaded for conversion.
5. Storage and retention
Uploaded images, generated previews, layers, and downloads are kept for 30 days so you can view history, reopen results, or download files later, and you can delete a generation from your workspace before then. Account records, credit records, payment records, and security logs are retained as needed to operate the Service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal or accounting requirements.
Image2Layer is a processing tool, not a backup service. Please download and keep your own copies of any files you care about. We may remove stored files for operational, security, abuse-prevention, legal, or storage-management reasons.
You can delete stored images and generated results yourself from your workspace at any time. You can also ask us to delete specific files or your account by contacting us from the email address on your account.
6. Sharing and subprocessors
We do not sell personal information. We share information only when needed to run the Service, protect users, or comply with the law. This may include:
- Hosting, storage, database, and content-delivery providers.
- AI processing and image-generation infrastructure providers.
- Payment and subscription processors.
- Email, authentication, analytics, customer-support, and security providers.
- Professional advisers, auditors, or authorities when legally required.
These parties may only receive the information needed for their role. We do not share your content for advertising.
7. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser storage for essential product functions, including sign-in, session security, language selection, theme preference, and basic product state. We may also use privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate usage and improve the Service.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, but blocking essential cookies may prevent account and generation features from working.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You can also cancel a subscription from your account settings where available.
To make a privacy request, contact us at support@image2layer.com. We may ask you to verify ownership of the account before acting on the request.
9. Security
We use HTTPS, access controls, authentication safeguards, and operational monitoring to protect the Service. Sensitive configuration values are protected on the server side. No online service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, so do not upload material you cannot risk processing through an online service.
10. Children's privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the Service, contact us so we can review and delete the relevant information where appropriate.
11. International processing
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. When that happens, we use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the type of information and the providers involved.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Image2Layer changes. The updated date above shows the current version. For material changes, we may provide notice through the Service or by email.
