PSD Viewer FAQ

Is this PSD viewer free?

Yes. Opening a PSD, zooming, and inspecting its layer directory are free. There is no sign-up or credit charge for viewing.

Can I use the PSD viewer without Photoshop?

Yes. Use a browser that supports local workers and OffscreenCanvas. A compatible RGB, 8-bit PSD with a saved composite image can be viewed without installing Photoshop.

Does the PSD viewer upload my files?

No. Files you select are read and processed on your device. Trying the example downloads our public sample; it does not upload your files.

Why can’t the PSD viewer open my file?

The file may be too large, damaged, missing a saved composite, or use an unsupported color mode or bit depth. Try saving an RGB, 8-bit PSD with compatibility enabled, within the limits shown above.

Can I edit or hide layers in this PSD viewer?

You can highlight one or more layers while dimming other areas of the saved preview. Editing, hiding layers, and regenerating the composition are not supported.

Can I export an image from the PSD viewer?

This page is for viewing. Use the PSD to JPG or PSD to PNG tools below to convert a file. Those tools keep their own sign-in and credit rules; you will need to select the file there again.
